Citrus County was discovered recently. The windblown hurricane survivors found us when seeking higher ground. Residents of South Florida found roadways free of traffic, affordable building lots and that 'old Florida' many remember. Retirees from Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Canada thaw their wintered bodies here enthralled by the warmth, they marvel that this place, Citrus County is so beautiful and such a good value. Those fifty-something baby-boomers seek their stake in Florida and they continue to come because they find beauty and value.
